Beach Houze Paint & Design Studio “Reducing waste and promoting recycling have become a way of life for me. We have incorporated this way of living into our business and it influences all the decisions that we make at Beach Houze”.

 Blaze Mechanical “We supply and professionally install cold climate heat pumps for heating and cooling, high efficiency and environmentally friendly equipment”.

 Board the Boat B&B “Because we focus on making our properties habitable for wildlife, we have earned a certificate called the “Wildlife Habitat Certificate”.

Free Spirit Tours “We have a “Leave no Trace” policy which means our beautiful nature will not be impacted by our programs”.

Georgian Bay Recreation “We are enabling the migration away from fossil fuel, our eBikes and eScooters are manufactured by Greenworks and supplied locally.”

Hock Stars  “is the perfect example of a “reuse/recycle” business since most or everything in the store is used.”

Home Hardware Beach (HH) Builders Suppliers “To improve our climate and reduce our footprint, HH Building Centre has been sponsoring the planting of over 1500 trees over the past 15+ years under the Trees Canada program”.

Hot Mess Boutique & Beauty Bar“ Our “Karma~Kinis” swimwear line includes a “Bee Wild and Free” collection. A portion of profits from the sales go to organizations that help protect the bees.”

Martino Tax Solutions “We have been successful in reducing paper consumption by approximately 80%.”

 Trailside Massage Therapy & Wellness “When I started my business, I tried to keep in mind “small, local, green, second hand”.”

Veronica’s Flowers By The Bay “We replaced the ribbon around the flowers with raffia, a sustainable alternative to plastic and is 100% biodegradable and compostable”.

 Water Depot “Water Depot is a great example of removing hundreds of plastic water bottles from our landfill.”

The community of Wasaga Beach thanks these amazing local businesses for all of their efforts and sustainable choices. We want to encourage them to display their “Green Certificates” prominently and also encourage our community to look for the certificates and support these businesses at every opportunity.
