Municipal elections directly affect our everyday lives—from roads, infrastructure, parks, recreation, tourism, businesses and housing to taxes, bylaws, planning and development, environmental protection and local services. That’s why attending an all-candidates meeting is so important.

These meetings give voters a chance to hear all candidates answer the same questions, compare their priorities and understand how they would address the issues that matter to our community. They also provide an opportunity to meet candidates and ask them personally questions and hear them explain their positions—not just through campaign websites, lawn-signs or social media.

Don’t vote based only on a name or a slogan. Take the time to listen, ask questions, compare the candidates and make an informed choice.
