ABOUT GREEN ECONOMY CANADA

Green Economy Canada (GEC) is a national non-profit accelerating Canada’s transition to a vibrant and inclusive net-zero future. They work with community organizations to launch, grow, and promote Green Economy Hubs across Canada. There are currently Green Economy Ontario Hubs in Hamilton-Burlington, Kingston, Sudbury, Waterloo Region, York Region, London and Peterborough.

Green Economy Canada’s National Hub and Regional Hub provide a cost-effective, practical, and hands-on approach to help organizations of all sectors and sizes take action on climate change and build sustainability into their operations

Green Economy Hubs

Green Economy Hubs work with local businesses to set and achieve sustainability targets — bringing together, supporting, and celebrating businesses as they achieve their goals. To date, over 500 businesses have collectively reduced over 200,000 tonnes of GHGs — the equivalent of the energy needed to power 46,000 homes or taking over 60,000 cars off the road for one year.
